Walking Above the Amalfi Coast
It’s a drizzly morning on the Amalfi coast as we ascend a steep, ancient staircase leading to small villages and eventually on to the mountainous terrain near Bomerano.
The only thing contrasting the bi-color panorama of sun and fog, sea and mountains is the tangerine and turquoise of our high-tech raincoats.
Terraced gardens, massive rocks, and remains of old stone structures entertain our eyes while the sweet sounds of chirping birds and nature dance in our ears and drown out the buzz of scooters and small Fiats whizzing along the coastal road.
